Q: When should I start training my golden retriever?


A: Training should ideally begin before your puppy even arrives home. Focus on potty training from day one and gradually introduce socialization, sound exposure, and safe exploration. Leash training is also essential, and while treats can be helpful, the walk itself should be seen as a reward.

  • Do we accept visitors?

    Those who have put down a deposit may visit and only after 4 weeks old. For the health and safety of the pups, no children or extended family/ friends. Puppy parent and partner only.


  • What if regular visit is not possible because of the distance, do you offer other options?

    We do provide Facetime video and regular pictures/ updates, please contact us to set time for a Facetime video or request pictures/updates. Contact Us by Phone or by Email.

  • How much do you charge for your Golden Retriever Puppy?
    • $1,800 is a Limited Registration
    • No Breeding Rights
  • Is there a down payment deposit we need to pay for hold one of your Golden Retriever Puppy?

    Yes, there is a $300 of which is non-refundable deposit to purchase one of our puppies.

  • Do we get to choose the puppy from the litter and how do you choose them?

    Around 4 weeks old- taking into consideration order of deposits received, preferences of parents for gender, coloring, temperament - as well as needs of the puppy for the best fit- we will decide together on those matches.

  • Is there something that I should be most cautious about when taking my new puppy home?

    DO NOT TAKE YOUR PUPPY FOR A WALK UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THEIR FULL VACCINATION SERIES AND THEY ARE ABOUT 18 WEEKS OF AGE. A dog can contract Canine Parvovirus CPV by direct or indirect contact with another dog's waste which makes it a highly contagious disease. Puppies under four months old and unvaccinated canines are particularly at risk.

  • At what age do puppies come home and what vaccinations do they need?

    Puppies are typically brought home at 8 weeks old and full payment is required at the time of collection or earlier. They will arrive microchipped, dewormed, and their initial set of vaccinations.

  • Do we give breeding rights?

    $1800 is a Limited Registration. No breeding rights.  Breeding Rights can be provided for $500 more under specific circumstances.

  • How do we make payments?

    We accept payments through the Turissini Family Goldens Good Dog website. Good Dog's website accepts major credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or via ACH bank transfer.

  • When do we start making payments?
    • Once step one is complete which is the interviewing process then we can set up a payment plan. The purpose of the interview is to make sure the Golden T Family the potential puppy owner are a good fit. We are selective about who we sell our puppies. We take the time to talk to potential buyers and ensure that our puppies go to loving homes. It is frustrating for us when individuals cancel after waiting for eight weeks.

    • We accept payments ONLY WITH ZELLE OR CASH

    • We DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS, CASHIER CHECKS, PAYPAL or OTHER PAYMENT METHODS.
  • Can you transport the puppy we paid for to our location?

    Transportation is available at extra cost and case by case basis. Please contact us to discuss the options and details.

  • Why is there a nonrefundable deposit to purchase the puppy?

    The $300 nonrefundable deposit is to ensure the potential owner is serious in buying one of our puppies. The nonrefundable deposit is to be protect our family’s business from people wasting our time. 

  • Do we need to pick up our puppy on the Pick-up date and time or do you offer other options?

    The maximum length of time we will keep your puppy is two weeks. We will keep your puppy for the 1st week at no charge.  There will be additional charges if we keep your puppy for more than a week of Post Pick up date and time. 


    Complete payment and Contract are still due at original pick up date. 

  • Where do you post your announcement of upcoming litter and current litter?

    We post our announcements of upcoming litter and current litter on our Facebook Business Page.

  • Where can we get on your waitlist for the next upcoming litter?

    We do not have a waitlist.

  • Where will you post the date and time of when we can bring home our puppy?

    We will post the date and time of puppy pick-up on our Facebook Business Page.

  • Do I need to sign a contract to take my puppy home?

    Yes, the contract needs to be completely signed before the puppy goes home with you. The Turissini Family Goldens’ do our upmost best to raise our puppies in a safe, healthy and happy environment when they are off of our property and care they are no longer our responsibilities if anything were to happen to them. The purpose of the contract is ensure clear expectations on liabilities, expectations and agreements. The contract protects the Turissini Family Goldens’ company from any lawsuits against our business or puppies. 


    If for any reason, there is a disagreement and the contract is not signed In the financial contract it states that I can at any time for any reason refund ALL moneys and yes that includes refunding the nonrefundable deposit... and cancel everything if I don’t feel proceeding is in the puppy’s best interest.
